🔥Yesterday, Maciej Kajrukszto and Agata Chorzempa had the pleasure of taking part in the 2nd Congress of Designers and Engineers, organized by the Team of Economic Advisors TOR and ZOPI.
âž¡ During the opening debate, which focused on the new “old” reality, we had the opportunity to listen to, among others: representatives of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy and the Ministry of Infrastructure. Our observations:
🔸 The new authorities show a prudent approach to the Central Communication Port (CPK) and intend to thoroughly verify the project in terms of effective use of public funds.
🔸 Large investments, such as Kolej Plus, are subject to thorough analysis, which will lead to necessary corrections.
🔸 PKP PLK puts emphasis on increasing train speeds through significant investments in infrastructure development. We face great challenges in the railway sector.
🔸 Nuclear energy is a significant challenge and perspective for the development of the Polish market. Polish Nuclear Power Plants indicate the need to train specialized engineers for this industry.
🔸 The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways promises to introduce indexation annexes also for engineers and designers before the upcoming holidays.
âž¡ During the strategic debate on the revolution in the approach to intellectual services, the important role of the engineer and designer in the construction process was emphasized. The engineer should be crucial for the investor, guaranteeing the implementation of the ordered product.
âž¡ In the second part of the congress, devoted to nuclear energy and the need for new staff, participants repeatedly emphasized the decline in interest of young generations in the engineering profession. To take full advantage of the opportunity offered by the construction of a power plant, it is necessary to educate specialists and continuously develop employees. The Polish Association of Construction Employers and the Polish Chamber of Construction Engineers have announced a number of activities aimed at improving the image of construction industry employees and encouraging people to take up this profession.
